my daughter is 7 years old and about 8 months ago she was diagnosed by her nero as having silent seizures the doctor said she was having up to 200 a day she put her on zarontin and it has work wonderfully for controlling the seizures. but with the good comes the bad i suppose. since begining the medication her sleep patterns are horrible. she wakes up 1-5 times a night and has a really hard time going back to sleep. she is also having major behavior issues her behavior is unbearable at times and she is diagnosed adhd. this is the first time i have gone beyond my family and close friends for support. i just dont know what to do any more. her nero put her on tenex but she was still having major issues with her sleep (it did semi help her behavior issues). the doc took her off the tenex and now she wants to take her off the seizure meds and try something new. i would like to know how all of you are handeling the seizures and the adhd that apparently comes along with the meds and what medications your children are on and how it effects them. i dont want my daughter to feel drugged i just want her to feel better and i want my well behaved little girl back.
