It's very sad to hear that John Travolta's son--Jett, died on Friday after having a seizure and hitting his head in the bathroom.
I know he had
I have had trouble finding any information on the Internet about whether or not they tried any dietary interventions on hims--like the Ketogenic Diet.
I know they tried using Depakote on him until it "stopped" working on him. I feel sorry that other options might not have been explored that possibly could have prevented this tragedy from occurring.
I hope it inspires parents to keep searching for answers and not only rely on medications when alternative therapies can be safer and more effective in the long run.

Terrible Tragedy
It is a terrible tragedy - the loss of any child is simply 'not fair' (pardon my sounding to terribly immature). I had heard conflicting stories that the child had autism, but you all know the press and media like to make catchy headlines and controversy. It will be interesting to see what comes of this. Many times parents who suffer such a loss end up starting a foundation, program or educational/awareness initiative. Amber Kane
Autism and Jett
Yes, I live in florida and have heard the same rumors. That he was autistic but the family kept it hush, hush. There is no footage of their son speaking on tape but their 8 year old daughter is already doing a movie. Makes you wonder. I am sure they are saddened beyong belief. They will have to come to terms with their childs passing, which will be tough.
Shame on the Media, Shame on CNN
Yes, I agree, a terrible tragedy.
I was watching CNN last night. I could not believe how insensitive these so called reporters are. At one point it seemed they will insinuating that the Travolta's were too blame.
It amazed me as well that the reporters always talk so highly about the drugs ...as if they always work. When in fact, we know they do not.
It's a scary thing when the so called "most trusted name in news" turns into nothing more than a gossip column. Shame on you CNN.
I feel for the Travolta's. I can not imagine what they must be going through.
