My daughter, who's six now, has CP and epilepsy but hasn't had a seizure in more than a year. I've asked her doctor if she can come off her medication in time for school this fall, but he's reluctant to start withdrawing it.
I'd really like her to come off because of the side effects (she's quite drowsy sometimes). I know it's harder to get children with CP off anti-seizure meds. Is that true even when the CP isn't terribly severe?
